Committee Member from May 2024 – Elizabeth Dornom

Elizabeth first learnt about rogaining through adventure racing, where in her first few events, she would follow her more experienced teammates and checkpoints just seemed to magically appear in front of them in the bush.  She started rogaining to learn how to make that happen and now relishes the challenge of having a map in her hand.  Elizabeth is not sure whether she enjoys exploring the bush or all the food she eats while she is rogaining more, and she is always excited when there is fruit and lollies at a waterpoint, not to mention cheese toasties at the finishline.  Elizabeth’s rogaining highlight so far is taking out a win in the women’s veterans at the World Championships in Lake Tahoe 2023.
